No childhood is perfect. Growing up can be an exciting and beautiful experience, but it is also hard work- and it can really be a lot to feel! How do we relate in a healthy way to the full range of emotions that come with a meaningful life? Parents, too, have a hard, important job. The experiences parents have had in their own childhood can echo in all kinds of ways through their lives. Children sometimes unknowingly stand on the bruises of our childhood, surprising us. How can we care for ourselves and help our children to be as happy and confident as possible in this complicated world?
I am a clinical & developmental psychologist. Knowing typical patterns for how people's thinking, communication and coping skills evolve as they grow helps me meet you where you are, and think & feel alongside you. My flexible, integrative approach is tailored to help clients better navigate their unique inner and outer worlds, and parents know how to help.
I understand that seeking therapy for yourself or, especially, for your child, is both an act of love and a leap of faith. I am happy to give you any information that will help you take the right next step for yourself and your family.

Most insurance policies have "out-of-network" benefit plans which will reimburse you directly for a significant portion of my fees. I can provide you with itemized statements (called "Superbills") which contain your diagnosis, CPT codes & payment info so that you can file claims. I'm here to help!

There is no "one-size-fits-all" treatment approach that I know to be entirely effective for everyone. Therapy may look very different depending on where you are in your life, what you are dealing with, what you want, and what tools you already have to help you get there. The process of therapy will be a bit like an evolving story that we are writing together- you are a co-author.
