As a library administrator, I help people find information and manage projects. As a social worker, I connect people with the information they need to set goals and make their projects successful. I seek to provide clients with a safe space and professional guidance so they can see their options, unique challenges and many strengths. The tools we use (CBT, DBT, ACT) and the reasons we use them (anxiety, anger, ADHD, depressed mood, phase of life) vary. Having support when things start to change in life and you have to try new things can be helpful.
As a social worker, I enjoy working with clients who are looking for someone who can offer them a safe space to have a honest, open discussion about their challenges. The goal is to help clients find new ways to leverage their strengths so they can come to terms with where they are, and how they might move ahead so the can accomplish their personal goals.
