As a social worker/librarian, I connect people with the information they need to navigate change and set goals so they can be successful. In partnership with the client we use tools (CBT, ACT, psychoeducation) that provide insight into the client's mental health condition (anxiety, anger, ADHD, depressed mood, phase of life changes, couples/relationships).
As a social worker, I enjoy working with clients who want a counselor who can facilitate a discussion about their challenges and help them identify the options open to them that will align with their values/goals. I use a coaching, educational style to help clients find new ways to leverage their strengths to accomplish their personal goals.
