I have enjoyed the private practice of outpatient mental health in Oklahoma and around the world with our military. In addition to a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Tulsa, I am a graduate of the Menninger's Institute Program for Community Practitioners of Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with couples who desire to save their marriage and with families struggling to succeed with adolescent challenges are some of my favorite areas of focus. My doctoral level research involved conducting a clinical trial investigating the effectiveness of the EMDR method.
I have special experience working with PTSD diagnosed veterans and victims of sexual assault. I have conducted doctoral level research on adjustment issues. These include divorce, victims of disasters, sexual abuse, rape, job loss, and chronic stress and anxiety.
The spiritual side of personal growth and healing is an important part of treatment planning with my clientele. Recently, my interest have grown to include positive psychology and treatment options for high-profile individuals who do not wish to utilize the medical insurance model for their personal issues.
