About
I enjoy working with families and individuals on relationship, parenting and family issues by developing an open and collaborative relationship with clients. It is my belief that we all can feel frustrated at times and seeking help in therapy is a positive choice toward managing our stress better and ultimately improving our health. I use a combination of approaches including family systems theory, mindfulness practice, positive psychology and, when appropriate, humor to help coach clients to begin to observe the patterns of behavior that are challenging them and make thoughtful choices about what they would like to change.
I have worked with adolescents experiencing social, academic, athletic or divorce-related stress, in university with students struggling with identity, career and relationship problems, families whose adult children return home and new boundaries need to be defined, and in senior centers with loved ones faced with meeting the challenges of aging parents.
I offer a free consultation charged to you only if you decide to pursue therapy further. I offer flexible office hours including some evenings. If you have questions, please call at 847-828-6066.
