I am a licensed psychologist, registered nurse and certified in hypnosis. I received a doctorate in psychology from Marquette University in 1992 and Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing form the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1986. I have 30 years combined experience helping individuals with physical and emotional problems. My specialized training includes extensive experience utilizing hypnosis (200 hrs. of training) in my practice, certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) at Level 11 and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and area of special training and the focus of my doctoral dissertation.
Treatment modalities through Health-Mind-Spirit Program include hypnosis, EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, guided imagery, creative visualization, envisioning techniques, autogenic training and dream work. Utilizing these modalities we work together to develop a quick and effective plan to help you decrease your stress and manage your life.
Hypnosis can be especially beneficial in helping you use the power of your mind to achieve your goals and experience deep and healing relaxation. Treatment planning includes teaching the client self-hypnosis techniques that can be implemented on a daily basis. These techniques help defuse daily stress and promote relaxtion.
