I provide a grounding environment for people who have been in survival mode and are craving self acceptance. I help individuals and couples build awareness and develop skills to help them experience their lives and relationships more fully.
Many of my individual clients have learned to cope with challenging relationships, trauma, or stressors by trying to control the uncontrollable or by shutting themselves off from the world around them. As a couples therapist, I believe that emotional connection is the key to creating a secure relationship base that offers resilience in the face of miscommunication and conflict.
As as a certified yoga teacher, sessions with me often emphasize your mind-body connection using mindfulness and somatic techniques to help you to more fully hear the messages being sent by your nervous system. My approach is experiential, which helps you practice new ways of processing your emotions or reacting to your partner in the moment during sessions.
