Hello! I know picking a therapist is no easy task and finding one you connect with is so important. I invite you to reach out for a 15 minute consultation to see if you think we would be a good fit. There are many reasons people enter into therapy including relationship problems, loss, fear, sadness, pain, and addiction, to list a few. Whatever brings you to therapy, know that with hard work, being honest with yourself, and partnering with a therapist you feel comfortable and safe with, you can heal from the past and become the truest version of yourself.
I have worked in the mental health field for almost 30 years and have been a LCSW since 2006. I have been a therapist for the State of CT since 2003 ; 14 years treating adults and 7 years treating young adults between the ages of 18 - 25. I am trained in DBT and EMDR and have been in private practice since 2017. My clients have ranged in age from 13 - 75.
It is important to me that I create a safe, accepting environment for my clients.... a space where they can feel secure in being vulnerable and honest with themselves. I work from a strengths based perspective and focus on one's skills and attributes while gently pushing for change.
