I am an artist and psychotherapist with special training and extensive experience counseling visual artists, writers, musicians, actors and other creative professionals. Establishing a life which supports and nourishes one's creativity is an enormous challenge. There are conflicts of time versus money, structure vs. freedom, the need for connection to others and the need for solitude and creative time. Societal values and internalized parental expectations exert an unconscious influence on what we believe is possible.
I have helped many individuals successfully resolve the following issues: self-defeating beliefs, thoughts or actions; addictive behaviors, unresolved grief, depression, perfectionism, isolation, avoidance of doing/promoting your work,
trouble consistently believing in your work's value and/or difficulty fully actualizing creative projects.
I am a certified EMDR practitioner, a modality which is highly effective in resolving core negative beliefs, unresolved trauma, performance anxiety, phobias and addictive behaviors.
