Finding a counselor you can connect with can be difficult, but it is crucial to have a meaningful connection, for healing and growth to happen in therapy. I find that bringing humor into therapy can lighten the experience and relieve the tension and awkwardness people experience in the beginning. I originally began working as a bachelor level counselor, supporting women who were reunifying with their children and individuals with addiction related issues. As an MSW, I have worked with individuals with a wide variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, phobias, grieving, divorce, LGBTQ concerns and adoption.
I have been trained in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Trauma informed therapy.
