I am experienced and skilled in working with clients who have chemical dependency, codependency, depression, bipolar, anxiety disorders, trauma, and/or relationship issues. I see individuals and couples. I also work with parents of adolescents and offer family therapy sessions.
I am excited about the good results that can be achieved with EMDR and EFT. Reducing the level of emotional disturbance, can clear the way for problem solving and healing.
My approach is to listen and discover the problems to be addressed and the client's inherent strengths that can be utilized. I focus on enhancing awareness, and exploring concrete solutions to improve relationships and satisfaction with life. Most of my clients reach their goals in 20 sessions or less.
I am trained and have 31 years experience in facilitating Friend and Family Interventions for chemical dependency. Intervention can be a powerful experience of care and concern for all involved. In my work, interventions have been 95% successful in supporting a person in making the decision to enter a treatment program.
