I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York with Graduate Degree in Psychology from Troy University in Alabama I have 20 years of clinical experience working with individual adults, adolescents, groups psychoeducational groups who have all experienced a wide range of challenges. I believe making this decision to begin counseling or return is one of the most important decision you can make to improve your mental, physical and emotional health. I believe life is about balance, and when we are out of balance, we can begin to feel overwhelmed by ineffective coping mechanisms needing to be evaluated and changed.
I have experience using methods, such as CBT, DBT, Mindfulness CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, specific psychoeducation for each individual client. I am a strong believer in the mind, body connection, working with clients to increase awareness of how their symptoms, challenges negatively affect thoughts and behaviors.
