My name is Mary Harris, and I am the owner of Haven Counseling & Wellness. I specialize in trauma and bereavement and have worked in the mental health field since 2007. I am EMDR trained and have completed Dan Allender’s Trauma-Focused Narrative Therapy Certification.
One of my greatest joys is walking alongside individuals, bearing witness to their stories, helping bring clarity and language to their experiences, and seeing their journey toward healing, growth, and wellness unfold through a safe and redemptive relationship. I strive to provide compassionate care and honest, thoughtful feedback throughout the therapeutic process.
My areas of focus include trauma, sexual abuse, grief and bereavement, women’s issues, LGBTQIA+ concerns, depression, family of origin work, anxiety, life transitions, shame, identity, relational difficulties, self-worth, and spiritual trauma. I emphasize the importance of body and somatic integration as part of a holistic approach to lasting healing.
