About
You know you need help, but you're not sure where to turn. Well, here's a little about myself beyond the photo: I am a married (25+ years) mother of 4 (all in college) who achieved a second Master's degree in midlife so that I could become a licensed counselor to help others. I graduated from UMHB, and quickly was hired to help out at Ft. Hood. Worked with military families 2008-2013, including grief/loss, depression, PTSD , anxiety, affair recovery, anger management, academic underachievement, life transitions, addictions, abuse recovery, LGBT issues, relational wellness and many others.
I have experience and am qualified to handle many cases. I have specialized training in (1) Couples Counseling for Affair/Infidelity Recovery, (2) EMDR for Trauma, Addictions, and other disorders, (3) Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples and (4) Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. See my website at www.marybethcooke.com.
At Mary Hardin-Baylor, a CACREP-Accredited counseling program, I received excellent training and education in the art/skill of counseling. This, combined with my life experiences as a wife, mother, daughter, teacher, and now business owner, gives me the tools I need to help you. Give me a call!
