About
I have been in practice for more than 30 years, seeing adults, older adolescents and couples presenting with a range of issues. My clients deal with transitions in life, school, work and relationships; they may need healing from past abuse or current loss; they may be facing existential, identity or situational crises. I engage actively with my clients and am influenced by a social/feminist perspective, common sense and a good sense of humor.
I have had extensive experience working with, and teaching about, sexuality. I see sexuality as an essential aspect of identity and use an integrated relational approach. I am particularly interested in helping people understand the changing nature of their own sexual desire.
Living in an interracial relationship and raising children in that context has provided me with an understanding and valuing of both cultural and sexual differences. My background as an artist affords me a personal understanding of the creative process.
