About
I recognize the courage it takes to seek professional counseling and consider it an honor to walk with clients through the pain of life’s challenges. I am passionate about providing a safe space for clients to be vulnerable as they seek relief, understanding, and growth. I believe that clients are best able to meet the goals of therapy in an environment where they are unconditionally accepted and empathically understood and consider it a sacred privilege to be trusted with my clients' thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
My approach to counseling is to combine client-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients meet their goals. I believe that a person’s thoughts are powerful tools in creating either dysfunction or peace. When we identify ways that our thoughts hurt us, we can replace those faulty thoughts with the truth and experience peace.
I work with individual adults and older teenagers dealing with a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, family and marital challenges, women’s issues, grief, adjustment issues, anger management, and ADHD.
