I specialize in substance use and problem gambling and help individuals, couples and their families. My approach is to first understand the WHY behind the substance or gambling issues and then address this in therapy. We will create a plan to address the situation and monitor progress. Since one answer does not fit all, we will work together to define what recovery looks like for you or your loved one. That might mean a harm reduction plan and/or abstinence. My goal is to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle and improve your important relationships.
I am licensed and work with people in the following states: FL, NY and NJ. I conduct sessions using secure video counseling (from the comfort of your own home) and phone sessions. I use a combination of therapeutic and healing modalities to suit your individual needs and a solution-focused approach as you work on getting some relief.
In addition to private practice, I am AVP of Peer and Group Services at the Partnership to End Addiction, NYC, providing education and clinical supervision for parent coach volunteers as well as program development. The Partnership offers peer parent coaching services for parents of teen and adult children struggling with substance use. (www.drugfree.org)
