How Can I Help You?
...by being a therapist you feel comfortable talking to. If you are having trouble relaxing, are worried about a loved one,are facing divorce or major illness, are feeling irritable, confused, depressed, lonely, are concerned about your teen taking risks or a child hating school talking with me can help. Talking can give you objective perspective, help you develop coping skills, lessen the isolation that makes people feel"crazy" and reduce inner turmoil that can lead to physical ailments. We work together to identify and build on your current personal strengths in this healing process.
What are my specialties?
I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have five years of experience counseling children/adolescents referred for behavioral problems, health issues and family crisis. I work closely with their families. I have worked with adults facing a variety of life transitions.
Often, substance abuse and addiction are ways people cope with stress and depression. I have extensive experience assessing and treating this issue. I am the parent of two grown children and have been active in my local community. I understand the pressures and unique features of Silicon Valley life.
