I am a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has engaged in agency and private practice for more than 40 years. I have assisted individuals and families with issues involving self-esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, bereavement, parenting, adoption, life transitions and psychiatric and physical illness. I have also been a clinical instructor and supervisor to students and professionals engaged in the various behavioral health care disciplines. Everyone has a story to tell and my role as a clinician is to help individuals with this sharing.
My approach is relational and person-centered and one where I am an active participant in the therapeutic process. I view psychotherapy as an endeavor where I support clients in conveying thoughts and feelings that previously might have been too difficult to disclose and which have blocked pathways to emotional health.
