Every client's issue, needs, and goals will always be different depending on where they are in their journey of trauma and healing. I refuse to treat everyone the same within the scope of my practice. I find being authentic and unapologetic in my delivery tends to allow the client to revisit, readjust and release the things they have found to hold them stagnate in their healing. What I have also uncovered about a client is their "want" and "why" does not always coincide with each other. What they may want may not be why they want it. Realistically, the result is always to find what they lost some time ago.
My part in helping is to get them to the realistic result of finding that which they believed they have lost through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, coping skills development, decreasing depression, decreasing anxiety, revealing, and releasing traumatic experience to move to the phase of healing, and groups to build community.
To build the right foundation, both parties should work towards a common ground of obtaining rapport or client and therapist relationship. I am simply the compass or map to help you "the client" reach your next goal(s) while reaching your destination of Independence from what has you stuck or holding you back from the next part of your best self.

This group would meet online once a week to discuss and process grief, loss, and seasonal effective disorder in the comfort of their home, office or whatever space of comfort with a community of individuals ready to gain back their life and freedom to be okay to not being okay due to a life changing situation.
