My name is Martia Hayes and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Virginia with over 15 years of experience providing care for children, adolescents, and adults. My main area of focus is on behavioral challenges, anxiety, mood disorders, and stress. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy that help me tailor treatment to my clients' unique challenges and needs.
I find work best with individuals struggling to understand the world around them whether it be within the home, relationships, parenting, phase of life adjustment, or just prolonged exposure to life's everyday stressful events and unanticipated circumstances
