I work mostly with people who suffer from anxiety, depression and general stuckness. I use a mix of approaches, with cognitive-behavioral ones as the biggest component of the mix. I have special interest and expertise in helping people on the autistic spectrum; people who are extremely gifted; people who suffer from anxiety (panic attacks, OCD, phobias, shyness); and people who have trouble buckling down, getting organized, and completing the tasks they want and need to do. I like my clients and enjoy my work.
About gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc: I am a straight female WASP, can't help it I was born this way. If you are different from me on one of these dimensions I will listen attentively to what you want me to get about your difference, and I'll respond by telling you what I understand so far. We'll keep going until we're both sure I get it.
I see only adults age 21 and over. I do not do couples or family therapy, though I am open to bringing in family members occasionally as part of my work with someone.
