Life is both an incredible adventure and so unbearably hard that we are not sure what way to turn next. Sometimes people, even people who love us , make it so much more difficult. Sometimes we seem to be making choices that make things worse when all we are doing is trying to feel better or be true to ourselves. There can be moments when we just need someone to listen, really listen. Listening and then helping others to figure out what is best for them is why I love being a counselor.

I have always been interested in all kinds and ages of people. That is when I knew I wanted to be a counselor. I see all ages of adults, all ages of teens, Veterans, people with drug or alcohol problems (or even those who think they might have a problem but are not sure), and survivors of trauma.

I love working with people who identify as Queer, any part of the LGBTQIA community and their family and friends. Along the way I discovered how much I admire and continue to have the greatest respect for anyone working to overcome a challenge of any kind.
