Many times in life we find ourselves in painful places we never dreamed we'd be. As an adult woman with three children, ages 1, 7 and 9, I found myself in one of those places. With good counsel, I was able to not only survive, but thrive and, over time was able to heal and see beyond the pain of the past to enjoy the beauty of the present and look forward to the wonder of the future. It's been over 20 years, but I still remember what it felt like to walk into the counselor's office on that first day.
Yes, good counseling changed my life. Two degrees and years of healing later, I am now in the position of being able to provide you with a safe and comfortable place to deal with the circumstances you are facing and to help you find healing, peace and empowerment in your painful situation.
A significant part of my practice is with individuals dealing with trauma caused by combat experiences as well as the pain caused by extra-marital affairs, heartbreak, and abuse, as well as the trauma of cancer. Living Beyond Betrayal
Beyond Betrayal is an 8-week healing/suport group for individuals who are in varying stages of dealing with the pain of being betrayed by a spouse or significant other. During the 8 sessions, which are led by a Licensed Mental Health and National Board Certified Counselor especially trained in trauma, you will meet and learn from others like you who just want to feel normal again and want to stop living on an emotional roller coaster. You have no control over what happened in your past, but you can be empowered to move forward in your future in a strong, focused and healthy way.
