I am accepting new clients but my availability is extremely limited. I specialize in working with clients who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing, and I'm fluent in ASL (American Sign Language.) In private practice for 12 years, I bring my 34 years of experience in a range of settings (outpatient, intensive home-based, school-based, and residential treatment.) I provide treatment to address issues such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, Grief and Adjustment Disorders. My approach to treatment includes CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and teaching Coping Skills, Relaxation Skills, and Problem Solving.
Quite simply, I have a passion for helping people improve their quality of life through understanding the relationship between situations, thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Many of my adult clients have found through our work, a new confidence in being able to manage their symptoms, improve their relationships, and attend to their own self-care.
The heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. Qualities like genuineness, trust, acceptance and honesty serve to support our collaboration in treatment which focuses on reducing suffering and increasing joy. Emotional well-being is something we all deserve.
