Making your way through the challenges that life hands you can be difficult at times. I enjoy working with people of all ages to help them remove the barriers that stand in the way of their happiness. I seem to be especially effective with teenagers, people managing various anxiety disorders, people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and people who have had the misfortune of going through a traumatic experience (e.g. combat deployments, sexual abuse, domestic violence, childhood abuse or neglect).
I have extensive training and experience in using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Relaxation Training. Psychoeducation and connecting people with other resources is also part of treatment in my practice. My goal is to blend my expertise with the expertise of my patients.
If you are looking for an experienced therapist that will listen to your needs and include you in the direction of your treatment, then I am the therapist for you.
