I have experience working with a wide variety of life problems and mental health disorders, but my primary interests include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), academic issues, panic/phobias, anger management, addiction, couples, marriage, and family relationship issues.

My passion is treating clients who have endured trauma. I'm trained in EMDR. I combine EMDR with narrative therapy to help clients resolve and reprocess the traumatic event. I love working with clients who suffer from depression, bipolar, and personality disorders. I also work with couples and families who are in crisis. I am also endorsed by the American Psychotherapy Association as a Board Certified Professional Counselor.

I am passionate about helping people to promote well-being and to manage emotional distress and psychiatric symptoms. I enjoy using psychological theories and mind-body interventions to help children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds to improve their physical and mental health. I have helped people to reach their physical health goals, heal from trauma, make career and life transitions, grow in marriages and relationships, and build mood and anxiety management tools. My sessions focus on sharing information and skills to address your unique needs and life circumstances. We will develop a treatment plan together.

My experience in working with Veteran, military, and general adult population clients in English and Spanish, allows me to be empathetic to your unique needs. I tailor your treatment goals through a collaborative approach that allows us to work as a team to empower you to getting back to better. I work with couples presenting with problems in communication and a lack of mutual understanding. Military and Veteran couples also struggle with adjustment to deployments and transitions. With individuals, I specialize in helping you manage trauma, PTSD, anger, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and to help you rediscover who you are.

For individual, couples, adults and teens, the pursuit of ones therapeutic goals is a deeply personal endeavor, one that entails time, effort, occasional discomfort and some expense. For attorneys, courts, and individuals involved with legal matters, I provide forensic services to include consultation, evaluations for court, drug assessments, sexual offense recidivism, and jury selection. I have also aided courts with child custody cases, home evaluations, and adoptions. I also provide psychological testing for private clients.

We all have inner wisdom which holds the answers to our questions. At the center of our beings we know who we are and what we want but getting there can sometimes be difficult. Using sound innovative psychotherapeutic techniques I work with my clients towards their goals. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a First Responder for over 20 years and continue to work on the ambulance part-time.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing in-person services to those in need living in the West Houston/Katy/Cypress area. I graduated from the University of Houston Victoria- Katy campus with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my undergraduate studies at Sam Houston State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

English/Spanish services available. My experience as a therapist/counselor goes back at the school setting for 19 years, 12 as a K-12 school counselor. I also have over 3000 professional psychotherapy/counseling hours working with young adults and couples.
