I specialize in ADHD and Tourette Syndrome, and also have experience with anxiety, depression, parenting, infertility, grief, and social skills. The pressures of life can be overwhelming and can lead to unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I help individuals set reasonable expectations and develop specific strategies to attain their personal goals. I also provide guidance and assistance to help families learn how to collaborate and work effectively with schools when seeking special education services. I have been married for 19 years and experienced the challenges and blessings of two teenage sons with special needs.
I am an LPC and a Texas Certified School Counselor. I have a Doctorate in Human Behavior and my dissertation focused on ADHD. I have also worked for ExxonMobil, Harvard University, and for Conroe ISD as a 9th-grade teacher and a Response to Intervention (RtI) specialist.
I enjoy helping clients learn to draw upon their own strengths to heal emotional wounds and experience positive change. I help individuals gain immediate and life-long coping skills. By developing these skills, individuals can better handle future challenges, experience personal growth, and enjoy healthier relationships.
