For the past 28 years I have been assisting members in our community and surrounding areas with an array of mental health issues confronting them and their families. Some of us are surviving through life, but are we really living? Life comes with many challenges and obstacles that can impact our mental health and overall well-being. While taking that initiative in seeking counseling can be overwhelming and scary, it is the first step to your journey of healing and that shows strength. Creating a safe space for you to express yourself is of upmost importance to me and I do so by demonstrating genuine empathy and establishing trust in the work I do with clients. I aim to facilitate growth and empowerment by taking a collaborative approach with clients as we go through the therapeutic process.

In life we experience unpleasant moments during our journey with ups and downs; sometimes it can feel more overwhelming rather than positive. It might look like dissolving relationships personal or professional, difficulty expressing emotions, or anger getting the best of you. It could be spending too much time in your head than living in the moment and missing out in life.

I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright. I came to understand that there are many factors that go into being successful at life. I have always had a helping nature but didn’t fully understand why people behaved they way they did. Through my education and experience I can now help people in their personal lives, relationships and careers.

I am a therapist who is empathetic, caring, and considerate. I can help you no matter how big or how little the situation or problem is. I have spent over half of my life helping people and truly believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I work with individuals, couples, same sex, and anyone wanting to be rid of pain or sorrow. I am here to help you. A call to my office is the first step.

I have over 25 years experience providing Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment in a great deal of diverse settings. I am interested in learning more about (you ) and (your ) goals and objectives for therapy. I believe a counseling relationship works best when you are comfortable with a therapist and free to be who you are. I help you reach this goal by bringing to the session , experience , honesty of myself , kindness and genuine regard. I am part of the Veteran Choice Programs to receive VA referrals.
