I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing individual, couples and family counseling. I provide a therapeutic environment that promotes safety, empathy, and support. I believe in a strength based approach in order to attain desired goals. Treatment focuses on processing and working out any individual or family issues that are impeding one from attaining goals. I have been working with individuals and families for 18 years. My treatment specializations include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relational problems, family dynamics, divorce, blended families, military families, and parenting.
In my work with children, ages 8 and up, I like to provide a safe and positive environment. I use a combination of talk and play therapy with a strength based approach. Child and family participate in both individual and family sessions as needed to benefit child. On a case by case basis parent may be asked to attend individually to address concerns.
I use a combination of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Gottman, Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Pragmatic/Experiential Couples Therapy, and Play Therapy. I graduated with a B.A. from Texas A&M University and attained my master's degree in Family Therapy from Antioch University. I am bi-lingual and counseling can be provided in English or Spanish.
