I have extensive experience working with individuals who are grieving, families who are struggling in their relationships, and with those who are facing challenges in their lives and in their relationship with God. I do individual counseling as well as marriage and family counseling. I focus on communication skills, coping with stress and anxiety, trauma, and healing past hurts. My perspective and approach is Christian but I work very well with clients who are not religious or who are exploring their relationship with God.

I enjoy assisting people that understand that it takes work to change behaviors. People that are struggling with life issues, depression, anxiety, marital struggles are all those I enjoy teaching tools to allow them to utilize to change. I am trained in EMDR and certified in Level 2 in Restoration Therapy and Marital Affair Recovery and Licensed to Supervise Associates in Counseling.

At times we all struggle with life changes such as job change or loss, the ending of a relationship, the loss of a loved one, parent-child conflict, or family-marital conflict. These changes can cause feelings of sadness, depression or anxiety. I look forward to working with clients who are seeking help with navigating life's ups and downs.

I believe people have the capacity to change if provided a safe environment in which to recognize and overcome obstacles or barriers to personal happiness. I am passionate about seeing people experience freedom and seeing marriages healed, and I believe God is the ultimate healer.

Life inherently brings challenges and overwhelming life circumstances that result in anxiety, depression or self destructive behavior patterns. During these times, the best intervention is someone objective to listen and the opportunity to "talk it through." Healing often comes through another party to reflect, offer advice and to help motivate to effective change. The client motivated to awareness and motion is ideal for my practice. I am certified in EMDR Therapy and trained in Brain-spotting.

Counseling is my second career. I have always been in a helping profession and my journey to becoming a clinician began as a teacher. Helping others has always been a passion of mine whether it was in the classroom or in a counseling office. In every client that I have ever had the privilege to be a part of their journey, it has always been my sincere hope that I could at least plant a seed of hope and inspiration. I see clients with various issues. I focus on teen and women issues but do see individuals for many other issues, such as trauma and depression.
