My counseling style is supportive and client centered. I believe counseling should be collaborative; therefore the client and therapist work together to reach the client's goals. I like to tailor clients' treatment plans to the individual I am working with to make sure and take in account their personality, life experiences, culture, and goals.
I typically use a variety of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and interventions. However, interventions used in session are highly individualized to the client, their personality and preferences, and their therapy goals.
