While trained and teaching a variety of interventions and therapies, I specialize in trauma therapy (specifically EMDR Therapy), relationship counseling, and short-term solution-focused work.

I started Family Matters Counseling Center after I realized that a family system is one that the client creates and is not born into. From here I developed a passion to learn each unique families story to help them overcome their obstacle in maintaining balance within their family system. Jerred P. White MA, LCDC, LPC. I earned my graduate degree from Amberton University with a major in Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling and Bachelors degree in Science of Business and Human Development. I attended the Institute of Chemical Dependency school and completed over 4000 hours of chemical dependency counseling in residential and outpatient treatment facilities in efforts to become a fully licensed LCDC. I have over 10 years of working with families, individuals adults and children.

As human beings, we all experience stressors throughout our lives and some of us endure traumatic experiences, which can lead us to feel hopeless and broken at times. Even in our darkest hours we have unique strengths that can be temporarily lost within the storm.
