I am then humbled and amazed as these words evolve to relieved, empowered, valued, strong, and resilient as we work together in treatment. I am a marriage and family therapist offering teletherapy and in-person therapy services to my fellow Texans. In treatment, I focus on working with you to develop and maximize your distinct strengths to overcome the concerns you are presently encountering. I use research backed approaches that are uniquely tailored to you.

At times life can feel challenging and overwhelming. It may be hard to see outside of your current stressors which may be continuously wearing you down over time. My goal is to help you pull away from current barriers which are preventing you from moving forward. I am here to help you in your journey to healing. Together, we will establish a plan for treatment that addresses your issues and concerns. My therapeutic practice serves adults, adolescents, children, marriages, families and other types of relationships.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) my job is to work with clients, couples, and families to help them understand and overcome the breakdown of communication, emotional and behavioral challenges that can lead to problems in family units. As an MFT, my ultimate goal is to strive to help families understand the root causes of family systems breakdowns. As a husband, father, partner, and military veteran, I have extensive experience working with diverse cultures. My background includes working with Veterans with PTSD and their family members, as well as individuals, couples, and families to overcome temporary disagreements.

After twenty years of practice, I continue to find that people are best served by a counselor who is emotionally and psychologically available to them in a time of need. I have enjoyed strong effectiveness working with depression, relationship conflict, grief, and anger management. I work with couples, older adults, teens, and children. These experiences have inspired me to incorporate multiple approaches that fit the personalities, interests and needs that people bring to my practice.

Life can be a challenge. Visiting with me is not going to change your circumstances, but I believe I can help you change the way you experience them. I have often been told that I am a warm, compassionate and nonjudgmental guide that will walk with you through dark times and will cheer you along as you reach new levels of freedom and hope.
