I am a licensed marriage and family therapy associate with 10 years of experience. I am trained to and enjoy working with a wide variety of clients and clinical issues from a relational perspective. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy services to clients facing a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship/marital issues, online and offline infidelity, communication, depression, anxiety, and other mental health diagnoses, intimate partner violence, sexual intimacy, and grief and loss.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) my job is to work with clients, couples, and families to help them understand and overcome the breakdown of communication, emotional and behavioral challenges that can lead to problems in family units. As an MFT, my ultimate goal is to strive to help families understand the root causes of family systems breakdowns. As a husband, father, partner, and military veteran, I have extensive experience working with diverse cultures. My background includes working with Veterans with PTSD and their family members, as well as individuals, couples, and families to overcome temporary disagreements.

My primary focus is in working with young children - (RPT - registered play therapist). I also offer adult individual, pre marriage (SYMBIS certified), marriage, couples, and family counseling. I'm an experienced therapist with a masters degree in psychology and a doctorate in marriage and family therapy. I’ve done this for 16 years, and I still love it. Over the last decade and a half, I have been fortunate to work with teens, adults, couples, and families. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions, including EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, allowing me to effectively address things like anxiety, depression, grief, and PTSD.

I hope to work with and help individuals (pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, adults), couples and families struggling with areas in their lives that are causing them pain and difficulties in their everyday functioning. My experience includes working with those struggling with anxiety and/or depression, healing and recovering from abuse/neglect/traumatic experience, working through relational and adjustment difficulties, as well as attachment struggles and behavioral challenges. Goals in counseling include relief from struggles/symptoms, but also learning ways to process, manage and heal from the struggles/symptoms one deals with.

I believe that the relationship between a counselor and client is the key ingredient in the growing and healing process. My counseling style is drawn from many research-based therapies. I am a certified Clinical Sexologist and Sex Therapist. I love to discover new ways to help others find clarity and resolve their dilemmas. I’m a Bilingual Counselor, fully proficient in English and Spanish. Hello! I bring 16 years of mental health experience along for your sessions. I consider myself a generalist and I'm happy to help you with any need or concern that you might have. Some of the areas where I have the most experience are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss. I am unable to accommodate couples therapy at this time, but I am happy to assist you with a referral. I do not typically work with minors.
