I am a 20 year Army Veteran trained in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as Individual counseling techniques. I understand the unique stresses of military life. I have worked with military families both while in the Army and since. I use the Gottman Method for couples counseling. Gottman is considered the gold standard in Couples Counseling, it is one of the best researched therapies with one of the highest success rates.

In our growing and transit community, many individuals, couples, children/adolescents and families struggle daily with painful life events. Events such as marital discord, stress, medical illness, past abuse, single parenting, unresolved anger financial instability, military connected issues, educational restarting, grief, and spiritual confusion, can cause anyone to get lost in overwhelming darkness. Life can be rough, and sometimes we need a little help getting by and coping. I have always been led to help people, and have found my calling in counseling people through their trials. I have worked with individuals of various ages and issues. My goal is to help you build coping skills to get you over the challenges in your daily life and return to a sense of balance and serenity.

At New Leaf Services, LLC we offer a wide variety of therapy and specialties. We offer individual, family, and couples counseling. Specialty treatment is available in Trauma, Abuse, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Grief Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Health Issues, and Animal Assisted Therapy. For counselors, we offer CEU training, administrative services, billing, credentialing, and general bookkeeping.

My approach is to empower clients through difficult times of their life, by teaching them the skills of self-compassion and vulnerability. I work with all individuals who feel overwhelmed by life and I am prepared to be there for them no matter what. I believe all people are deserving of unconditional support and compassion and I am prepared to give that unconditional support to all of my clients.

I am a mindfulness and somatic based counselor who believes that our trauma and stress can be held within the body. Processing it in mindful ways aids us to moving on to greater things. Working at all stages of life, we face different demands and struggles. I work with families, couples and individuals based on their needs of the moment. I am also passionate about working within the LGBTQ+ community and helping others find a safe haven to feel better understood.

I believe in meeting my clients where they are and helping them to move in the direction they dream of being. No two people are alike, so I treat the individual as an individual without judgment. This therapy allows the client to navigate their treatment better since they are doing the work; I am just here to facilitate their progress. After all, we only get one turn on this rock we call earth. We should all be able to enjoy it to the fullest.

Throughout my career, I have developed a varied counseling and advisory experience, serving a wide range of populations, including Soldiers, Veterans, first responders, adolescents, and parents.
