I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Military Veteran. I served thirteen years in the military and found a passion for helping others. Once I received my degree, I knew I was called to work with those needing healing from trauma, life stressors, or relationship difficulties—ultimately allowing them to find their strength and power again through such healing. I approach counseling holistically, believing each person's mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational health is intimately intertwined. While well versed and experience in traditional interventions and therapeutic styles, such as CBT and DBT, Nicole's approach to therapy is collaborative and holistic. She includes mythology, spirituality and other non-traditional interventions in her treatment planning, particularly working to include a client’s cultural background into their care. Nicole’s guiding principle in therapy and wellness is authenticity. This is true in how she presents herself to clients and in encouraging clients to embrace their most genuine selves.

I graduated from UTSA in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Philosophy and again in 2015 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I worked in higher education, counseling college students for nine years. While I have a passion for helping young adults navigate their mental health, I equally enjoy working with teens, couples and families. I draw from various therapeutic styles, including CBT and Relational-Cultural Theory. I enjoy taking a person-centered approach to journey alongside my clients throughout the therapeutic process.

Dr. Heather Ingram, originally from Chicago, obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Argosy University in Schaumburg, Illinois. Throughout her training, Dr. Ingram worked in a variety of settings around Chicago including Elgin Mental Health Center on the Unfit to Stand Trial Unit, Bridge View-Challenger Therapeutic Day School, Women In Need Growing Stronger domestic violence shelter, and Gateway Foundation residential substance abuse treatment center. During her work in Boston, Dr. Ingram worked at Walden Behavioral Care eating disorder clinic, where she worked in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.
