I work with children as young as 3, teens, adults, couples, and families. I hope to help you work through any issues related to depression, anxiety, and even relationship concerns in premarital and marriage counseling. I have also worked in crisis counseling and shelters, as a crisis counseling and trauma informed trained professional. Working with youth that have lived through trauma, I have extensive knowledge and skill helping adolescents work through issues such as depression, anxiety, school stress, self esteem, self harm, and bullying.

Dr. Abbassi is an expert in couple's communication and sexual issues. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT), Certified Sex Therapist by American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and approved Supervisor of LPC and LMFT. He works with individual (children and Adults) in the area of depression, anxiety and general life difficulties. Dr. Abbassi has been in private practice for over 26 years. As a full Professor at local Institute of Higher Education, Dr. Abbassi teaches and provides supervision to Counseling Interns for both LPC & LMFT boards.

Matt (he/him) is a Licensed Psychological Associate, under the direct licensure and supervision of Diana Storey, PsyD, holding a MS in Psychology from Texas A&M Commerce, and offering extensive experience working with adolescents (14 and up), adults and couples. Matt can help with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma and PTSD (including religious trauma), sleep disorders, eating disorders, marital/relationship problems, and a multitude of other presenting concerns related to emotional expression, interpersonal communication, and habit formation.

I am a trauma informed, EMDR trained, & a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional therapist. I enjoy incorporating games and art therapy in sessions. I am passionate to help people move through emotional/spiritual obstacles so they can live rich lives interpersonally and contribute to their community. A warm, empathetic relationship between a counselor and client provides the context where growth and change can take place. I utilize Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, and Play Therapy approaches.

I have been in private practice since 2002 and since 2000 as a school counselor. As an ex-military dependent, I understand our diverse society and the stressors and positive influences around us.
