Perhaps you are in a moment where peace feels out of reach. You might feel scared, anxious, abandoned - stuck at the bottom of a hole with no way out. I won’t throw a rope down to hastily haul you out; we would miss too much along the way. I will hop down and sit alongside you, acknowledging the darkness. I will help you search for cracks of light even here. My clients want to find connection and a sense of belonging internally, in relationships, and in their communities; I aim to provide a safe and secure space that allows for exploration in how to do just that.
I believe each of us makes sense in the context of our story. As a therapist, my goal is to create a haven for you to connect the dots of your starry constellation, the map of the noble idea that is you. Here, I devote my fullest compassion and partner with you on the journey to balanced peace and vibrant health.
A sturdy building of trust, empathy, and whole-hearted integrity sits atop my foundational belief that people are born good, that she who is willing to change can do so. I consider it the highest honor to sit with another person and bear witness to their healing. If you agree, reach out for a free consultation call to see if we'd be a good fit.

McLaine Beeman's Groups

Trauma Recovery Group

This group is for individuals looking to heal from relational trauma in a group environment. Examples of relational trauma include childhood abuse, neglect, intimate partner violence, psychological abuse, and/or spiritual trauma. The group explores topics such as family history, boundaries, and developing safety in relationships. The group also provides space for group members to process their trauma in a supportive environment by sharing their stories, identifying trauma-related beliefs, and developing self-compassion. This group is best for people who are in individual therapy and have developed sufficient coping skills to engage in difficult material.

Becoming Safely Embodied

Many trauma survivors fear their own bodies. Through nine skills, Becoming Safely Embodied provides a guide to help clients learn to calm their nervous systems, change thoughts, feelings, and body sensations to provide positive experiences, separate the past from the present, understand the parallel lives lived by trauma survivors, learn ways to work with traumatized parts of self, gain control of familiar physiological responses and find new choices, and to find new ways of seeing current life circumstances.
