Hi, I'm Damaris Johnson! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I specialize in treating individuals, premarital couples and new moms. As a graduate of Mercer University School of Medicine with a Masters degree in Family Therapy, I am currently serving as the Clinical Director at The Walk of Life Counseling Center. Additionally, I am a Prepare-Enrich Facilitator as well as a Certified Trainer for counselors in the community who seek to provide premarital/marital counseling. I have been to the Beck Institute to complete specific training in the use of CBT for treating depression. I also use techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapy.

Kathryn has worked with youth since 2014 in a variety of programs including residential settings, education, early childhood, and counseling centers. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Concordia College Moorhead and a Master of Science in Counseling and Student Affairs from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She obtained her Associate of Social Work license in 2018 and is currently working towards her Licensed Professional Counselor hours in South Dakota.
