My primary goals as a clinical psychologist are to help you:(1) live your life more fully, (2) feel more comfortable with and better about yourself, and (3) cope more productively with any stressors that you are facing. With this in mind, my therapeutic focus will be to provide you with the personal support that you need to make the changes that you want, and teach you specific techniques that you can use. We will do this in as time and cost efficient a manner as possible. Together, we will construct a new roadmap for you to use.
I specialize in working with adults, and have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, and helping people cope with physical illness (including cancer), trauma, bereavement, and marital/family problems. I also counsel older adults on productive aging, coping with physical and mental decline, Dementia, and end-of-life issues.
My orientation is eclectic, which means that I have the flexibility and expertise to choose from a wide variety of approaches in order to use those that will be of most benefit to you. I have also worked extensively with the Hispanic population, and can conduct sessions in Spanish when needed.
