In session, I utilize active listening skills, validation, and understanding to better understand clients' worldviews while also helping them to gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Primarily a psychotherapeutic counselor for the last 25 years, I am also a published author, present personal growth workshops, lecture at conferences, and conduct professional supervision for my colleagues. The MSW initial next to my name means I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. The LCSW initial means I have been licensed by the state of New Jersey to practice Clinical Social Work.
