I view the first session as a chance for you to assess me as well as me to assess your situation: I beieve there has to be a good fit for effective therapy. With this beginning, I then work with you to address your presenting problem. I can help you find ways to move beyond old hurts, find freedom from anxiety and depression, develop relationship and parenting skills, work through sexual concerns, and cope with stress.

I have a deep empathy for the struggles my clients are facing and feel it's important to provide a safe place for them to explore what is troubling them. I initially do a general assessment of why the client is seeking therapy as well as their mental health. Together, we outline a plan for treatment and set goals for where they want to see themselves. My clients appreciate my laidback, but not passive, approach to their treatment.

I am a graduate from Southeaster Oklahoma State University with a Masters in school Counseling. I also have a Bachelors in elementary education. Ten years experience in the educational profession with 2 of those years in a private setting. My experience and involvement in our communities, along with my faith in Jesus; give me a desire to hear and help ALL those in need. Everyone has a story and everyone's story is important. Education and Training: I graduated with my Bachelors of Social Work in 2008 from Missouri Western State University, Saint Joseph, MO. My work with families and individuals inspired me to earn my Masters in Social Work from the CSWE accredited University of Missouri-KC in 2012. I joined the National Association of Social Workers in 2006. Through 2011 I continued my educational efforts and earned several certificates of training including The National Institute for Trauma and Loss; Levels 1 and 2 Advanced Structured Sensory Interventions, EAGALA Certified Equine Specialists, and the University of Denver Animal Assisted Therapy Certification.
