I help people address mental health issues through a combination of highly individualized therapy and lifestyle interventions. I have extensive experience treating depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and trauma. I help people better understand how their attitudes and behaviors are influenced by their life experience and current environment, so change is possible. My approach is highly collaborative and flexible, and I work with my clients to maximize the benefits of therapy by helping them develop supports and opportunities for growth outside scheduled sessions.

I have a private practice working with individuals, couples and families. I also work extensively with teens and children. My primary focus is working with stress, anxiety disorders and depression; however, I also work with addictions, eating disorders, parenting issues and basic conflict resolution . I follow a cognitive/behavioral approach for anxiety and depression, as well as a psychodynamic approach in other areas. My goal is to help my clients develop a clearer understanding of their feelings, thoughts and emotions, and then begin to work to make positive, life-enhancing changes in their lives.

Help for Emotional, Behavioral and Relationship Problems. Serving adults, children age 9 and over, couples and families, from my private practice located halfway between Charlevoix and Petoskey. All Counseling is confidential with a personalized approach for each client. The goal of therapy at Kaleidoscope Counseling is to help develop skills and techniques to navigate your life journey. Our initial meeting will provide an opportunity to complete a comprehensive client assessment. This will be a ninety minute appointment. In the following appointment, we will agree on a treatment plan with your individual measurable goals to include frequency and length of attendance.

I focus on providing a caring, safe, and nonjudgmental environment to support you as you begin to address and cope with the challenges in your life. For LLPCs: I am taking on LLPCs for supervision.
