I am a relational therapist and a psychoanalyst. I graduated from The General Training Program in Psychoanalysis at the Mass Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2019. After 30+ years of experience, I have found that each patient is unique and requires an individualized plan of treatment. My patients and I work together on creating a plan that addresses both the current problem(s), as well as the longer term goals. I strive to be flexible, open and creative in listening to and addressing patient's concerns. My style is warm and empathic and I incorporate humor into the work whenever possible.

I provide child, adolescent and adult clinical services to individuals and families. I am trained as a clinical, developmental and educational psychologist with two doctoral-level degrees in clinical and educational psychology. I have worked nationally and internationally with departments and ministries of health and education to offer services focused on emotional development across cultures. I have held faculty positions at Hawaii Pacific University, Yale University School of Medicine and Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. My publications are in the fields of cultural, educational and clinical psychology.

I've been a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) for almost twenty years. I work with individuals, couples, and families out of the basement office of my home in Arlington, MA. My most basic therapeutic approach is that everyone is born good and whole. But, life happens and it sends us difficulties that we can’t always understand or handle. These difficulties can happen as children, adolescents, adults, in school, home, work, and in our marriages. Sometimes these problematic life experiences can affect our core beliefs negatively and/or overwhelm our abilities to cope.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with nearly 10 years of experience working with complex families and individuals to help them overcome the obstacles in their lives.
