I have over 14 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and I teach the practice and research of marriage and family therapy at a local university as an associate professor. Growing up watching my grandmother struggle daily with mental illness, I naturally grew to have a heart for helping other people. I have spent the last decade of my life in the helping community and I believe that it is my life’s purpose to help people actualize the life they wish to have. I explain my position as a therapist by saying this to my clients, “It’s not my job to fix you because you are not broken.
