I believe that people are, by our very nature, social beings. We all understand that there are trials and tribulations throughout our lives. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, marital strife, and other mental health concerns can arise even in the strongest of people and relationships. I utilize empathic listening and other skills to foster a safe, respectful, and caring environment for all my clients. After serving a wide range of clients, I have focused in on family systems and working with family members to insure the best outcomes for parents, cohesion for couples, and stability for children, thus working with individuals of all ages, families and couples. In family work I have had extensive experience with issues related to adoption and foster parenting. I also work with individuals addressing a wide range of issues that may or may not be directly related to family and relationships. In addition, I facilitate equine assisted therapy, focusing on addressing boundaries, assertiveness, emotional regulation, and confidence.

Being able to discuss our current challenges calls for a supportive conversation. Often these challenges contribute to depression, anxiety, and interpersonal conflicts if not addressed. I Have worked in the areas of substance abuse and mental health for the past 29 years. I work with clients between the ages of 16 and 60. I have a strong interests in addictions, impulse control and personality disorders. I have sucessfully guided both individuals and couples through very difficult times in their lives and have seen many of them reach their highest potential in life.
