I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Rockford. I have a Ph.D., in Counseling Psychology from Andrews University, an APA accredited program. I approach mental health and emotional wellness from an insight oriented perspective. I believe that an understanding of one’s early childhood environment is essential to an understanding of one’s functioning in adulthood. It allows clients to gain insight into their anxieties, depression, mood dysregulation, emotional problems, and inner conflicts.

I strongly believe that everyone can grow and change. My goal is to help you become your best self. I will assist you on this life journey to handle all complex challenges. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy as my main approaches. I am passionate about working with kids, adolescents, adults, and seniors. My passion for mental health begins with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Together we can take on life challenges to make sure we overcome them.

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience. She is Latinx and both bilingual and bicultural that is inclusive to all genders, races, religions, cultures, and the LGBTQIA community. She earned her Master's in Social Work (MSW) from George Williams College at Aurora University. Lisa offers a wide array of counseling services, including children, family, individual, couples, and group services. Her special interests include women’s issues, depression, anxiety, trauma and school advocacy. Lisa has experience in various settings with all ages.

Life today can be so difficult, anxiety provoking, and just plan depressing! I am here to help support you on your journey to a healthier you. My passion for helping people has led me down the path of specializing in these areas ADHD, ODD, PTSD, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and anxiety. The treatment methods I use vary depending on the individual and what goals you are trying to attain. I use several different techniques including: CBT, Client Centered, AAIT, and Relational techniques. I love working with people of all ages and collaborating with my clients to ensure that they are getting the treatment they deserve.

Welcome! We provide traditional and holistic healing for mind, body & spirit health. We work with individuals, couples, families & groups age 5 and up. The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

Candice has worked with clients who have struggled with mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, grief and loss, substance abuse, LGBTQ Issues, personality disorders, and PTSD. Her specialties include struggles with intimate and family relationships, personality disorders, criminal thinking, anger management, poor self image, depression, and trauma. Candice prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and rapport that is developed with each of her clients. She is passionate about helping clients draw strength from their experiences; to live a better quality of life and reach personal fulfillment.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.
