Hello! My name is Amekia, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters's degree in Professional Counseling. I believe in using a client-centered approach and feel that it is important to establish a great rapport and relationship with each client and that we can learn from one another. Brainspotting is a powerful, flexible, client-centered therapy that goes more deeply and quickly into our stored memories than other therapies. These stored memories are called brain spots. We change the negative ones. After looking for the most effective counseling technique which was also cost efficient for clients, I chose Brainspotting. Brainspotting is based on EMDR but I find BS is best for pinpointing the individual harmful memories which negatively interfere with our lives. The Brainspotting process enables the client to identify and resolve the roots of traumatic or troubling issues.

For as long as I can remember, I've had a heart for encouraging people. I consider it a blessing to be able to do what gives me great joy - watching lives become transformed through the healing experience of counseling.
