My work history also include helping families work through various dynamics, adolescent difficulties, and individuals who have found themselves in the criminal justice system.

My name is Grace Moran and I am a Licensed Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counselor with 20 years of experience working with adults, children, couples and families with a wide variety of mental health concerns and needs. I also have specialized experience in treating trauma-based mental illnesses and injuries and have provided mental health and vocational rehabilitation services to many agencies including the local foster care system, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and domestic violence, and sexual violence agencies. My therapeutic approach matches specific diagnoses and gold standard treatments for those diagnoses.

We compose a simpler personage to escape the vertigo of our tangled complexities. The whole of social life is like a game, a continual camouflage, which serves as a diversion, but is like an enslavement we cannot tear ourselves from. Every society and movement acquires its own vocabulary and code of behavior (one doesn't notice if one is on the inside). Outside of close intimacy real honesty seems utopian.

Regardless, in a culture where we must present as put together, in control, etc., it gets a little hard to trudge the water. If we aren’t careful this can lead to emotional, behavioral, interpersonal, and self dysregulation.
