Let's chat! My name is Meryl and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. I started my career working with children and specialized in child sexual abuse/Trauma. From there I landed my new opportunity to work with all branches of the military to help with Pre and Post deployment issues. I ran a marriage/couples counseling program for the US Marine Corps and worked in Primary Care as a mental health liaison with the US Air Force. Trauma informed care is a specialty. I work with clients who have chronic pain and grief to assist them through the processes of dealing with new realities.

I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because I enjoy processing with individuals and listening to personal journeys to find a resolution. I was a High School performance art major and find this skill set benefical in providing supports through visual cues using various therapeutic approaches and modalities. I specialize in working with children and families in child welfare. I enjoy working with young children and teens as these are challenging developmental years, trauma and distress from systemic and familial patterns of behaviors, coupled with low parenting, coping, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Helping others has been at the forefront of my life and that passion continues to flourish. Life circumstances have made me realize the limited availability of mental health professionals who were passionate, compassionate and empathetic. The interactions with diverse communities has made me aware of the critical need for mental health professionals in the area of child and adolescents, family counseling and support for those in the autism community. That has fueled a need in me to assist individuals and families establish lasting and fortified relationships in an effort to repair the family system.

Dr. Limary Lorenzo is trained in organizational and clinical psychology. Specializing in women’s mental health, Dr. Lorenzo started her clinical career in 2008 leading support groups for pregnant women and mothers. She has also specialized in supporting women during their pregnancy and motherhood roles. Dr. Lorenzo has vast experience offering support and consultation to high achiever women that need support with: management of stress and time, balancing roles with their careers or business, career changes or transitions, and supporting them in adopting healthier habits that can improve their overall wellbeing.
